Renting Vs. Buying

We were talking the other night in the newsroom about why I keep getting all these new books mailed to the station. It dawned on me that I can't stand 'renting' a book from the library. I have to own the book that I'm reading. Odd I know. But I know several people like this. I think the number one reason is I don't want to feel rushed, secondly I like to see them on my book shelf and then there is the rare occurrence that I will read it twice....that' very rare.
With movies on the other hand I don't like to own them, instead rent. When I buy them they get scratched, lost, borrowed and never to be returned. I rarely watch a movie more than a couple times so it seems like a waste to buy em.
Hmmmm.....maybe I'm just weird. lol

Yep, you're just weird :o)

I just usually borrow books and movies. It's cheaper for me that way! Then I wait until movies get to the $9 or $5 shelf at Wal-Mart and buy them then. I wish that we could just borrow books for college instead of buying them.

Speaking of borrowing books, my roommate got a couple of books from the campus bookstore free on accident, so we are going to share them. YAY for free books!
